Barbara Hirschler, after a brief illness, entered peacefully into rest in the morning of October 25,2003. She was predeceased by her father, Raymond and father-in-law, Pat. She is survived by her beloved husband of 39 years, Ron, sons Stephen [Kathy] and Christopher, mother Eleanor, mother-in-law, Rita, sister Nancy [Richard] Staley, many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Barb was a long time member of St. John’s Church of Rochester and worked at Our Lady of Mercy High School for 14 years. Barb enjoyed helping Mercy Students pursue college careers in her role as Guidance Secretary. She is already sorely missed. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass being held at St. John of Rochester Church in Perinton at 10:30am on Tuesday, October 28^th.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary’s Church 5 Milton Street , Belmont, NY. At 11am on Saturday November 1^st.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Barb’s memory may be sent to the Isaiah House, 71 Prince St., Rochester, NY, 14605 where Barb spent her last days.  The Staff and volunteers couldn’t have been more caring and kept her pain free.
