Carlos A. Starr age 93 formerly of 2396 Stannards Road passed away on Saturday February 14 at the Wellsville Manor Care Center. He was born on May 26, 1910 in Wellsville to Raymond and Leah [Monroe] Starr. On November 16, 1935 at 2396 Stannards Road he married the former Onnalee Davidson who predeceased him on January 11, 2004. Carlos grew up in Stannards and Wellsville. He worked as a farm hand, on WPA jobs, for Sinclair Refinery and for Wellsville Central School for 34 years retiring in 1972. He was a member of the Stannards United Methodist Church.

Survivors include :  his daughter Beverly[Charles] Raynor of Wellsville ; 2 grandsons Charles Raynor II and Lawrence Raynor both of Elmhurst ; Step grand daughter Maryann Raynor Maloney of Edgewater, FL. ; great grandchildren Rebecca P. Raynor of Elmhurst and Michael Maloney Jr. of Edgewater ,FL. ; A brother in law Warren Davidson of Wellsville; special nephew Robert Shelley of Wellsville; God daughters Karen Painter and Marsha Dinger both of Wellsville as well as several nieces , nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by his step father Sheridan ’Gus’ Fosbury and his half brother Harry Fosbury.

Friends may call on Tuesday February 17 from 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 pm in the J.W. Embser Sons Funeral Home in Wellsville. A Funeral Service will take place on Wednesday at 11:00 am in the Funeral Home with Rev. Regina Shaw presiding. Burial will be in Arkport Cemetery and memorials may be made the Stannards United Methodist Church.
