Darryl R. MacTavish, 60, of 3141 Wightman Road died Sunday, July 20, 2003 at his home with his wife and son by his side.  He was born December 11, 1942 in Washington, D.C. the son of R. Drexel and Winifred (Healy) MacTavish. In Whitesville, on September 3, 1966 he married Candace “Candy” House who survives.  Darryl graduated from Wellsville High School in 1961.  He was employed by the Outdoor Store, Weldonian Dairy, and L.C. Whitford Co. of Wellsville.  He also worked at the Water Department of the Village of Wellsville for 35 years. He retired as Water Maintenance Supervisor do to poor health in 2002.  He was a member of the Wellsville Lodge #230 F & AM and the Immaculate Conception Church of Wellsville. 

Surviving beside his wife are 1 son; David R. MacTavish of Tampa, FL and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws.  He was predeceased by 1 daughter; Heather MacTavish in 1999.

Friends are invited to call on Wednesday from 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 pm at the J.W. Embser Sons Funeral Home in Wellsville.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, July 24, 2003 at 10:30am in the Immaculate Conception Church, Wellsville; Rev. Dennis Wolf will be celebrant.  Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Wellsville.  Suggested donations include Immaculate Conception School and Home Care & Hospice.
