Donald L. Morrison of 17 McDowell Avenue died September 21, 2003 shortly after arrival at Jones Memorial Hospital in Wellsville. He was born November 4, 1930 in Wellsville, the son of Lowell and May (Freelove) Morrison. On July 26, 1950 in Scio he married Ethel Kish who survives.

Don was a 1950 graduate of Wellsville High School. He was employed as a printer for the Wellsville Daily Reporter for several years, he later a shop supervisor at McCulloch MITE-E-LITE Corp. in Wellsville and at the time of his death he was a guard at Alstom Power Inc. Air Preheated Company in Wellsville, advancing to the rank of Lieutenant. He was a member of the Wellsville First United Methodist Church and the McEwen Hose Company # 4 in Wellsville and had also served in the Fire Police.

Surviving in addition to is wife, is one daughter, Darlene (Richard) Nydegger of Wellsville, 2 granddaughters, Vickie Nydegger of Wellsville and Becky (Chris) Foth of Andover, 2 great grandsons, 2 brothers, Andy (Pauline) Morrison of Wellsville, Ronald (Barbara) Morrison of Scio, 2 sisters, Maxine (Alvin) Whitesell of Wellsville, Ardele Crause of North Tonawanda and several nieces & nephews.

Friends are invited to call on Wednesday from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the J. W. Embser Sons Funeral Home Inc. in Wellsville. The funeral will be Thursday September 25th. at 1:00 PM in the funeral home with Rev. Lee Williams presiding. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery and memorial suggestions  include any charity of the donors choice.
