E. Ann Cretekos of 33 Highland Place passed away on Tuesday December 30, 2003 at her home. She was born on December 11,1927 in Syracuse to Edgar and Elsie Peterson Forman. On August 22, 1954 in Wellsville she married James G. Cretekos who survives her.

Ann graduated from Cornell University in 1949 and came to Wellsville to teach home economics in the Wellsville Central School System. She received her masters degree from Alfred University and retired from Wellsville Central in the early 1980’s.

Ann was a member of the Lady Elks ,enjoyed playing bridge, sewing and most of all loved her family.

Surviving beside her husband :  2 sons  George[Jolene]Cretekos of Farmington ; Gregory Cretekos of Plymouth, MA. : 3 daughters  Stacey[Michael Gross] Cretekos of Congers ; Cynthia[Doug]Young of Malta ; Karen[Mark Buckhaulter] Cretekos of MoutainView,CA. : 9 grandchildren : 2 brothers Ken[Janet]Forman and Alan[Roberta]Forman : several nieces and nephews

Friends may call in the J.W.Embser Sons F.H. in Wellsville on Thursday January 1, 2004 from 6-9pm. A Funeral service will be held on Friday January 2 at 2pm in St. Johns Episcopal Church in Wellsville with Rev. R. Nicholas Rafael presiding. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery and Memorials may be made to the Allegany County United Way.
