Edna L. Mayo, 86, a former resident of 7 Willets Avenue, died on October 1, 2003 at the Wellsville Manor Care Center. She was born July 20, 1917 in Genesee, PA., the daughter of Samuel and Mildred (Long) Shutt. On April 29, 1933 in Wellsville, N. Y. she married Herbert W. Mayo who predeceased her on October 18, 1982. Edna was a long time resident of Bradford, PA, Belmont and the Mater Dei in Scio before moving to the Wellsville Manor a year ago. She was formerly employed at the Bradford Hospital and Alfred State Agricultural & Technical College, retiring in 1979. She was long time member of the Belmont United Methodist Church and the M. Eva Williams Chapter # 192 Order of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by 1 daughter, Gertrude M. Yohe of Derrick City, PA.1 son, Edward W. (Dee) Mayo of Winter Haven, FL. 4 Grandchildren, David J. Mayo of Wellsville, N.Y. Dale L. Yohe of Bradford, PA. Tina L. Yohe of Derrick City, PA., and Dolly (Bill) Plowman of Bradford, PA., 6 Great Grandchildren, 1 great, great granddaughter, a sister in law, Clara Shutt of Bradford, PA., and several nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by 2 brothers, Harry and Merle Shutt, 2 sisters Beatrice Fohl and Lillian Wyckoff as well as 2 grandchildren.

Friends are invited to call on Friday October 3rd. from 12:00 noon to 2:00 PM at the J. W. Embser Sons Funeral Home in Belmont, N.Y. The funeral will follow visitation at 2:00 PM in the funeral home. Rev. Sandra Lasher, will preside at the service, interment will be in Forest Hills Cemetery, Belmont and memorials in lieu of flowers are suggested to the charity of the donors choice.
