JOAN FRANCES REGAN of Takoma Towers died Monday December 22, 2003 at Harbor Hospital in Baltimore, MD. She was born June 25, 1943 in Wellsville, NY the daughter of Thomas F. and Gertrude (Dowling) Regan. Joan graduated from the Immaculate Conception School, Wellsville in 1958 and Wellsville High School in 1960. She received her BA degree from Marymount College in Terrytown, NY and her MA from Manhattenville College in Purchase, NY. She was a former school teacher at the Simsbury Public School System in Simsbury, CT.

 She is survived by 1 sister, Dr. Judy Regan Marcin of Columbia, MD. 3 nieces, Shelah Marcin, Sarah Tomalty, Susan Marcin, 1 nephew, Peter Marcin, 4 grand nieces and 3 grand nephews.

Friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday (or Monday) December 27, 2003 at 1:00 pm. in the Immaculate Conception Church 24 Maple Avenue, Wellsville. Rev. Dennis Wolf will be celebrant, and interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Wellsville. There will be no prior visitation, memorial suggestion include the Immaculate Conception School or a charity of the donors choice.  Arrangements are under the direction of the J. W. Embser Sons Funeral Home Inc. in Wellsville.
