KATHERINE L. COOK, 90 of 4192A Bolivar Road passed away Wednesday, February 4, 2004 at the Wellsville Manor Care Center.  She was born on October 30, 1913 in New Britain, CT. the daughter of Louis and Katherine (Schaeffer) Baldwin.  She was married to Joseph Cook, who predeceased her in 1994. 

Kay was a graduate of Syracuse University and a former art teacher at Alfred Almond Central School.  She was a longtime Allegany County resident until moving to Florida in 1984.  She moved back to New York State after the death of her husband and has been a resident of the Wellsville Manor Care Center since 1998.

Surviving her are 1 son: Kenneth Cook of Lindenhurst, NY, 3 grandchildren, and 1 brother: Dr. Robert Baldwin of Essex, CT. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by 2 children: Dr. Steven Cook and Jodi Cook.

There will be no prior visitation and services will be at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of the J. W. Embser Sons Funeral Home Inc. in Wellsville and memorial suggestions include the Activities Department of the Wellsville Manor Care Center.
