Wellsville, NY

ONNOLEE M.  STARR, 94 formerly of 2369 Stannards Road passed away on January 11, 2004 at the Wellsville Manor Care Center.  She was born on August 26, 1909 in Belmont, the daughter of George W. and Sara (Van Ness) Davidson.  On November 16, 1935 at 2369 Stannards Road in Wellsville she married Carlos Starr, who survives.                                         

She grew up in and around Klipnockee, Arkport, and Hornell before moving to Wellsville in 1935.  She was employed as a seamstress by several factories, including Merril Hosiery and Kaiser Glove.  She was also a member of the Stannards United Methodist Church.

In addition to her husband Carlos, she is survived by her daughter Beverly (Charles) Raynor of Wellsville; 1 brother: Warren (Anna) Davidson of Wellsville; 2 grandsons: Charles Raynor II and Lawrence (Patricia) Raynor both of Elmhurst, NY; 1 step granddaughter: Maryann Raynor Maloney of Daytona, FL.; 1 great granddaughter: Rebecca P. Raynor of Elmhurst, NY; 1 step great grandson: Michael Maloney Jr. of Edgewater, FL.; 2 goddaughters: Karen Painter and Marsha Dinger; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by 3 brothers: Arthur Davidson, Howard Davidson, Harold Davidson and 6 sisters: Irene Howe, Lela Shelley, Elizabeth Gayhart, Pearl Studley, Evelyn Lounsberry, and Jayne Hurd.

Friends are invited to call on Wednesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm at the J.W. Embser Sons Funeral Home Inc. in Wellsville.  The funeral service will be on Thursday January 15^th at 11:00 am in the Funeral Home with Revs Regina and Ray Shaw presiding.  Burial will be in Arkport Cemetery. Memorial suggestions include the Stannards United Methodist Church.
